Atlas® ropes consist of six strands manufactured from 100% Polyamide 6 (PA6). Monofilaments and multifilaments are combined in the individual strands. For this purpose, monofilaments with diameters from 1.6mm to 5mm are wound into ropes with diameters ranging from 18mm up to 96mm. The monofilaments give the rope excellent dimensional stability and permanent stiffness while the high-strength multifilament yarns assure very good abrasion resistance and high breaking force. An optimum balance between strength and stretchability ensures high dynamic load resistance in the rope. Atlas® ropes are compact and do not make excessive demands on winch capacity. They are maintenance free and can be stored wet. Atlas® ropes are designed for automatic winches. Atlas® hawsers are ideal as mooring lines, anchor cable and for other applications in the heavy-duty range.
