FireRetard®

The FireRetard^® product family from Perlon^® offers an extensive range of flame-retardant polyethylene terephthalate (PET) monofilaments. The flame-retardant properties are achieved by the use of the raw material known as Trevira CS^® or by means of specially developed additives. Different levels of flame retardancy can be set. A Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of up to 40 percent and UL94 V0 rating is achieved. All of these monofilaments are free of halogens. Furthermore, flame-retardancy is permanently effective, i.e. it is retained during the entire lifetime of the end product.
